NHS Lothian Annual Review 2025/2026

The NHS Lothian Annual Review is on Friday 30 October 2026

The Annual Review is the formal process where the Scottish Government assesses the performance of each Health Board over a 12-month period. This session will cover April 2025 – March 2026.

The Review for NHS Lothian will be chaired by the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Miss Angela Constance.

The Minister will open the event, followed by a short presentation from NHS Lothian’s Interim Chair, Andrew Fleming, who will provide an overview of performance through a short presentation outlining key developments and plans for the year ahead.

Attend on the day

NHS Lothian is encouraging the public to attend the Annual Review in person. A recording of the session will be made available on the NHS Lothian website shortly after the session.

Date: Friday 30 October 2026

Time: 2pm-3pm

Venue: Edinburgh Training Centre, 16 St Mary’s St, Edinburgh EH1 1SU.

Getting to the venue

By Train

The venue is located in Edinburgh’s Old Town and is approximately a 5-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station. From Waverley, exit via Market Street, follow Jeffrey Street uphill to the Royal Mile, then continue onto St Mary’s Street. The training centre is located on the left-hand side of the street.

By Bus

Several bus stops are within easy walking distance:

Museum of Childhood (approximately 2-minute walk) – Service 35.
South Bridge (approximately 6-minute walk) – Services 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 14, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37, 45 and 49.
Princes Street (approximately 10-20 minute walk) – Services 1, 4, 15, 16, 25 and 26.

Journey planning and live service information are available through Lothian Buses.

By Taxi

Taxis can drop off directly outside the venue on St Mary’s Street.

By Car

There are several city-centre car parks within a short walk of the venue. The nearest and most convenient option is the NCP Holyrood Road Car Park (EH8 9UL), which is only a few minutes’ walk away.

Visitors should also be aware of Edinburgh’s city centre Low Emission Zone (LEZ).
