NHS Lothian Area Drug and Therapeutics Committee has the responsibility for advising Lothian NHS Health Board on all aspects of the use of medicines in NHS Lothian.
Through these web pages, we wish to establish a spirit of openness, remove barriers to communication and to create an opportunity for dialogue with prescribers, other NHS Health Boards, and with the public. We recognise the need to share our decisions, and the basis for them, so that we can as much as possible come to an agreement on best prescribing practice across Lothian and Scotland.
