Hear how NHS Lothian continues to make progress toward its ambitions to tackle the climate change, the nature crisis and become greener. This webinar is titled: NHS Lothian Environmental Sustainability Webinar Progress in 2024-2025 – Preview of NHS Lothian Annual Climate Emergency and Sustainability Report
All public bodies have a legal responsibility to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to act sustainably. There is also a duty to promote biodiversity. Our Annual Climate Emergency and Sustainability Report sets out our progress and actions in relation to both of these duties.
This webinar provides an update on our carbon emissions—from buildings, transport (including electric vehicles), and anaesthetic gases. Alongside the data we have on carbon emissions we give an overview of progress, highlight some examples of changes at the frontline and set out the priorities for 2025-2026.
It also gives a summary of progress on our Greenspace, biodiversity and the ways we are seeking to maximise the value of these spaces.
