Progress in 2022-2023 – Preview of NHS Lothian Annual Climate Emergency and Sustainability Report

webinar-thumbnail

In this webinar recording you’ll hear how NHS Lothian did in 2022-2023 in achieving its ambitions to tackle climate change and become greener. This webinar recording will give an update on our carbon emissions, from our buildings, from waste, transport, anaesthetic gases and developing the environmental impact of our Greenspace.

Some of the steps forward included – replacement of 7234 light bulbs at St Johns, 65 additional electric vehicles, a trial of e-bikes and the introduction of re-useable theatre hats.  What was the impact of these changes?   How much more is there to do to reach the target of being net zero by 2040?

Alongside the data we have on carbon emissions we gave an overview of progress, highlight some examples of changes at the frontline and set out the priorities for 2023-2024.

It’s a chance to find out about the work that is going on, consider opportunities to contribute to this and help shape our priorities going forward.
