There are three key steps to completing the ECRIA process: <\/p>\n\n\n\n This webpage provides guidance and resources for completing the ECRIA process. It is also where we publish completed NHS Lothian impact assessments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n At the project initiation stage, you must consider whether an Equality and Children’s Rights Impact Assessment (ECRIA) is required. This decision should be made using the ECRIA Initial Checklist Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The checklist will guide you through a series of questions to help you determine whether an ECRIA is necessary for your project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Guiding principle<\/strong> – if your work is likely to impact:<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n For people who work for NHS Lothian or use NHS Lothian services, and completing an impact assessment would help NHS Lothian meet its duty to give due regard to equality and children’s rights, then an ECRIA should be carried out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If the Initial Checklist indicates that an impact assessment is required, you must complete an Equality and Children’s Rights Impact Assessment (ECRIA) using the approved template.
